I am excited to partner with the students, staff, and families at Garza to find positive solutions that ensure all students thrive in spite of whatever challenges they may face. I have served in multiple roles across Austin ISD including teacher, instructional coach, curriculum specialist, instructional coordinator, 504 and testing coordinator, and assistant principal. I hold master's degrees in Fine Arts and Educational Leadership. Special education allows me to leverage my strengths in data analysis and detailed documentation together with my passion for bringing people together to problem solve and find creative solutions using an asset-based approach that honors every learner and stakeholder. In my free time, I love spending time with my husband, two kids, and many pets. I especially love being out in nature with my dog and my horse.
