Joel Lin's journey to teaching English had an unorthodox beginning as a Computer Science major at UT Austin. During his collegiate years, he took a few life-changing trips to Cambodia to teach English at an orphanage. This altered his trajectory in life that eventually led him to the best high school he'd ever known: Garza. He enjoys reading light novels, playing board games, and helping students find and achieve their goals.
