The Garza community celebrated Mix-It-Up day on Friday November 3rd. The afternoon began a 1:15 with a Time Capsule Ceremony where we buried some future memories created by students and staff. Our Ofrenda, hosted by Garza's Spanish class remained in place from Dia de lost Muertos so students and staff could stop by to celebrate the lives of members of our community represented therein. Next door Ujamaa's showed off their art creations from earlier in the week. Garza's Ag class and affiliated classroom sponsors hosted Garza's perennial and fabulous haunted house. Quite a few students and staff performed karaoke at Open Mic. And there were some serious basketball challenges in the gym. Most of all we had the chance to mingle with one another and celebrate all things Garza.
