Battle of the Books - AISD
At the beginning of the school year Garza was invited to the 2026 AISD Battle of the Books at Ann Richards. Battle of the Books is a quizbowl style competition based on a set of 10 books each student reads before the competition. Wish our team of 7 luck this February 27th!

Trustee Awards at Garza, May 18, 2026
May 18, 2026 at 3 pm to 4:30 pm, Garza will be celebrating those students in the top 10% of their class at our 2026 Trustees' Awards. Our Spirit of Garza, the student who best exemplifies the Garza Code of Honor, will also be announced. A reception will follow.
School Day SAT 3/3/2026
We are pleased to inform you that the School Day SAT will be administered at Garza on March 3, 2026. This exam is open to all 11th-grade students, and while participation is optional, we encourage students to take part.

College Fair Field Trip
On Thursday, October 23rd Garza will be hosting a field trip to the TACRAO College Fair! Students will have the opportunity to visit with over 100 college, career, and military representatives. Spots are limited, so reach out to Ms.
Financial Aid Evening
10/21/25 will be a Financial Aid evening at Garza from 5:30-7:30 pm in the College and Career Portable.
Garza Fall Break 10/11-10/20
Garza will have its Fall Break from 10/11/25-10/20/25 and school will not be in session at this time.
